The Covid Pandemic Should Not Be Overlooked, Says the World Health Organization

World Health Organization head Tedros Adnam Gebresis said the world was now facing a complicated situation due to the Kovid-19 pandemic. 

 He expressed concern that some countries in particular were in the most dangerous situation.  He warned that the coming months would be very tough and could pose a major threat to countries in the north.  He suggested that the countries take immediate health measures to prevent further casualties.  Corona infections are on the rise in most countries.  Hospitals are overcrowded with patients.  School closures are still ongoing.  Tedros recalled that I told him about this situation last February.  

It is not yet clear when the vaccine will arrive.  Tedros said clinical trials are continuing, but that people need to be informed of their progress from time to time.
